Just something I saw in the twittersphere. I think it was asking USC fans who they like and was giving options. uscba.com probably some fan page or an agent page or something hell I don't know, I don't follow USC.
It sailed because of Haden. That's where the bad blood is. Orgeron still loves USC, he just can't abide what he thought was a dishonest and disingenuous deal regarding the HC job. I absolutely believe O should have gotten a 1-year deal. His team, his chance to prove himself beyond the blue hair appreciation network. His reputation still didn't sell anyone else on a HC job. I think his ceiling might be DC and RC but who knows? I got nothin but love for Coach O.
Fans are all over the place. Anything from Coach O to Chip Kelly, Harbaugh's brother, Holmgren, Dantonio, Fisher. Experts, all of em. Me? I'm going with Vince Lombardi. Anyone have his number?
Coach O may love USC, but he loves Louisiana more. I don't think it's that hard to see his dream job is being the head coach of LSU. A lot of people will say awww hell neaux, but if he were to take over for Les when Les retires with a full cupboard, he would have a far better chance at success than he did trying to revive Ole Miss.
May as well, the head coach you have had has basically been a corpse. How you squander Kessler is crazy to me, that guy is gonna be playing on Sunday.
yep if you got preconceived notions on why not to like someone, you'll justify those reasons. he was never considered. he deserved a shot. haden is reaping what he's sown. she knows this. which is why that window of opportunity has closed for everyone involved.
And this is the crux of the issue. Haden led O to believe he had a legit shot when it's clear he did not. In O's mind, he was promised a formal interview which he never got. Haden didn't even bother to tell him about Sark's hiring face to face. He found out from an admin in the AD office who saw the fax. You just don't do people that way, and for sure not people from the South who give and demand respectful honest negotiations. Yep. Well.....I tend to think Kessler is serviceable but the early Heisman talk was not really deserved IMO. He's had the benefit of some unbelievable WR talent and he's a proven leader among the team, but when the game needs to be on his shoulders, he hasn't really delivered. I can't fault him for Washington though. Sark and Helton were idiots for abandoning the run when it was working. Our 2 RB's Madden and Jones had 180 yards combined on just over 20 carries.....if we'd done the obvious, they might have put up 300. He has been inconsistent in pocket movement and locks in too often. Pressure is a bitch if you are just okay.
