i think the original point, made rather clumsily, was the the christian, palin, was the one who could not manage the daughter. perhaps you should pray for her, kylek. use your magical stupid bull**** and telepathically contact your uberwizard. and you were preaching as if there is some negative moral implications for being a lesbian. like i said, christian are absurdly judgmental and condescending. the bible tells them stupid things are true and they believe them and they go around moralizing inane stupidity.
Yes, that's what I'm saying. She's already torn through the first Kama Sutra book I bought her. Her mother and I are so proud. I have never met any parents who teach their children to have sex at that age, so you're pretty ****ing stupid for the first sentence. I'm saying that no matter what I teach her she's going to make her own choices. Hopefully when she does make that choice, she takes what I have (already) taught her in stride. The reality is that she could very well be spreading her legs at 16 and if she does, I hope that she takes the necessary precautions to avoid be faced with grown-up decisions. You can teach your kids all you like, but it's their decision ultimately. I have been around the bases with plenty of preacher's daughters so being a good parent or bad parent is not determined by what age your child becomes sexually active. She's learned that God most likely doesn't exist, so she already has a head start on your brood...
while i consider some of the things said from both sides to be in poor taste and form, some of you brought your children into this so the subject is fair game. the personal insults, however, add nothing to the conversation. please try to keep this half way civil.
A man doesn't allow someone to talk about his children scornfully. Neither does he criticize if someone chooses to scorn their own children. But everyone should chill when someone is only making an ribald wisecrack. It's not a crime for an anonymous Internet character to make a bad joke about another anonymous character.
Red, my only issue/response to/with your post is that I try not to be anonymous. I use my real pictures, I meet as many of you as I can, and I don't try to hide who I really am behind an internet firewall. I have 2 daughters who I think the world of, and whom I have shared with everyone here through pictures and cannot imagine talking in what I perceive as a negative light about them. In that vein, I have a tough time comprehending when someone would speak scornfully of their own children. However, in the spirit of the familial nature of TF, I respectfully agree to disagree w MLU, Martin, and Lasalle as it pertains to the the contents of their previous posts in this thread.
alls i was saying was that i think it is silly of you to act like everyone else is religious as you and thinks that it would be terrible to have a lesbian daughter. not everyone subscribes to your kooky superstitions. of course i would actually be slightly disappointed if i had a lesbian daughter, but not because she was a "deviant" like you said, but because she would have to deal with people like you thinking she was a deviant, presumably because of weird ideas about sex taught by childish idiots in the religious community. yunno you shouldnt really believe that crap. and of course it would be more difficult for her to have a child and a traditional nuclear family. but it isnt like the heteros are doing a spectacular job of keeping the conventional family together.
