Maybe so. They search you when they process you into jail. How could she have a bunch of weed? And eating some weed might put you to sleep for a while but it won't kill you. Maybe she did hang herself but it's pretty irrational to do that when you're only charged with a very minor offense. And where did she get the plastic bags in a jail cell to hang herself with? Still, some people are too stupid for their own good. Sunday night a woman went into a local theater and started talking about wanting to shoot somebody. They threw her out and a deputy sheriff outside told he she had to leave and asked for her ID. She got belligerent with the deputy and tried to shove him so he arrested her. Sounds like she could have just gone home if she had showed her ID.
So was the one arguing with a cop about putting out her cigarette whether she was right or wrong. Her extreme reaction tells me there may also be some psychological issues. Is it shocking that someone would hang themselves over seemingly minor problems? Yes, but it's not unbelievable by any means. This is a case that needs to be closely investigated, but there is no reason to go all Ferguson and start jumping to conclusions.
I agree, she handled it wrong. And I don't advocate going all Ferguson, but there is too much smoke to not think there is fire somewhere.
The cops say she told them she tried to kill herself a few years or a year back, but her family disputes this claim, they say she has never shown signs of depression or being suicidal. If she did say this to police, why not put her on suicide watch?
Yes, there was tons of smoke in Baltimore even before they started setting fires. The cop had already been tried and convicted in public court and on every news show on tv. Then.......wait......the actual evidence comes out and it happened exactly how the police said it did. Turns out the innocent young teen was indeed a thug career criminal that had just committed armed robbery and attacked a cop when caught. The evidence is still very much out in this case. If you saw the jail cell video it's easy to see that at least a dozen people would have to be in on the cover up in a jail that busy and you couldn't have anyone NOT go along. That would be damn near if not impossible to pull off.
You buying that? Woman in cell next to her said she never heard anything unusual and during Sandy's 3 days stay, the woman in next cell heard Sandy talking on phone. Well there once was a light AND a stop sign. You blew through that one too.
