Ok, who to start this week. Mark Sanchez, or Tony Romo. Romo plays at home vs. the Giants. Mark Sanchez plays New England at the meadowlands. New England's defense has been exposed, no Mayo, new secondary, no Seymour, and Sanchez even though he is a rook, looked really good against a decent Houston defense. Romo has struggled against the Giants of late, is this when he breaks out of that slump, nursing an ankle injury. WWYD?
I would go with Romo. Dallas will likely have very little running game in this one and the Giants will force him to throw it to beat them. Likely they will be playing from behind as well so this could be a pass happy week for him. However, the Giants force a ton of turnovers which could lead to INTs, fumbles, and limited time of possession for Romo. Look for Barber to get his yards like Tim Hightower got his last week, little dump passes over the middle and screens. Sanchez could work out but is a big risk. It could get rough now that the Pats have time to fix what went wrong the D last week and playing at their home is no easy task especially for a Rookie. I really like Sanchez's potential this year but just no so much in this one. A little risky IMO. BTW I like these threads...
see that is what i was thinking, i know Sanchez is going to be a great pro, and he was a steal in free agency for me, Romo with the ankle injury and playing the giants makes me really uncomfortable. I will probably still go with Romo, unlessi decide to get crazy, and really gamble and put in Chansey Stuckey at my flex and roll with Sanchez and try to get double up points.
