This is the most woeful batting lineup I have ever seen in the bigs: 1. E Cabrera .258 or D Eckstein .267 (and Slug Pct of .199) 2. T Gwynn .297 3. A Gonzales .253 4. Kouzmanoff .235 5. Headley .229 6. W Venable .182 or B Giles .191 (I think they finally gave up on him, 5 years too late) 7. E Gonzales .182 (must have pix of the manager/gm in uncompromising position to stay in the lineup) 8. N Hundley .236 or H Blanco .210 9. Pitcher (below mendoza line more than likely) T. Gwynn Jr only worthwhile bat besides Adrian Gonzales, who has seen his production go to basically nil in the past month (the lack of support from his teammates has finally caught up) None of the rest of those players probably belong on a major league roster. The San Diego GM gotta go.
I know what you saying. And I feel your pain. But the Pads offense is a Triple A offense that plays in a huge ballpark. If they score 3 a game, they're lucky.
Youre right. When was the last time they had a decent offense? i actually feel kind of bad for the dude since he is a the local boy and all. but i feel really great for myself.
Ok, this is definitely the worst lineup card I have ever seen presented: Today's Padres lineup: E. Cabrera ss...... .237 W. Venable cf..... .217 C. Headley lf....... .238 K. Kouzmanoff 3b. .244 K. Blanks rf......... .188 O. Salazar 1b...... .143 L. Rodriguez 2b.... .199 E. Alfonzo c........ .190 C. Gaudin p......... .040 Tim Kirk-chin needs to do one of his numbers and see if anyone has toted out a lineup in which no batter was at or above .250. And 5 batters under the Mendoza line, that should be a first as well.
Imagine the pitcher's delight. 1 slugger, 2-3 utility players and the rest players who hit like pitchers. Why didn't Peavy go to the ChiSox again?
