That's why Sam dropped to the 3rd round. I knew he took plays off but he apparently has jamarcuritis.
Maybe he should start passing buffet lines too? Lol. Actually he's in much better shape now than during the draft and training camp when he was really out of shape. But seriously, that "drug test" he passed is absurd and less than meaningless. There are dozens of very easy ways to have that self administered "independent" drug screen come up clean, it's not anywhere close to NFL drug testing protocols. But the bigger question is this: The Texans organization has never once mentioned that he (or either of the other 2 players) was released from marijuana use. In fact they have never publicly given any reason other than violating team rules. They legally can't cut him for a first instance of smoking weed or any other drug, he'd have to be subject to stipulations of the NFLPA CBA's substance abuse program. So why are the released players so hell bent to convince everyone that they weren't smoking weed when they were never accused of that? The whole "we were just smoking a cigar/we weren't smoking weed/see I passed a drug test" thing is coming form the players not the team that cut them. Just work your hardest to get picked up by another team Sam. There's rosters that can use you if you're willing to put in the work.
No "want" to be excellent... Have you been smoking with Les? The only one that surprised me was La'el Collins, because he is having a great season from what I've seen
The weed helps me channel my inner Les. Just the other day I was making toast but I let the timer run down too far. Burnt the toast and my whole family started talking about replacing me.
Seems Cierre Wood took and passed a drug test as well. Not the NFL's random tests, but one he had set up on his own. Yeah... Still not a single mention or accusation from the Texans or the NFL that their being cut had anything whatsoever to do with drugs. If the Texans are contacted by other teams regarding these guys, they're going to say what they want to say off the record to other GMs. These drug tests are not going to convince anyone of anything. Except that the players involved are really insistent that they weren't doing drugs. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/...elease-willie-jefferson-sam-montgomery-103013
That list that included LC was just a moment in time. Maybe it helped motivate him and he is no longer on an active CLM selfish list?
A few rumors that I've heard on Houston sports radio over the past couple of weeks: 1. They were smoking synthetic weed, which is why they passed the drug tests. 2. It's against the NFL CBA for a team to cut a player because of smoking pot (which seems unusual given that they test for it). Therefore, the Texans are claiming the cuts were due to lack of general performance. 3. The NFL does not test for recreational drugs during the season (i.e. only in off-season). Can anyone confirm #2 and#3 above?
