I went to see him play in their last game against Pearland at Rice Stadium a few months ago. He pretty much got shut down (roughly 125 yds, 1 or 2 TDs) by his standards but looked better overall than Pearland's RB (Whittaker?) that signed with Texas this year. One of my friends at work had been telling me about him all year and I had to take notice with the crazy highlights & 3,000+ yds on the season. I heard he trains by sprinting on curbs to help with balance. He definitely hits the hole hard and doesn't wait for the opening. I saw a local sports show about a month ago and he looked like he had decent size. I'm about 6' and 175 and workout regularly but he looked bigger in the chest/shoulders than me so maybe he's put on a few pounds. He looked kind of silly with his hat on backwards and a gold cross-chain but seemed like an alright guy. I'll probably try to make one or more of his games next year, especially if he shows interest in LSU.
It doesn't mean anything, but the kid that made the videos of him wears an LSU hat almost non-stop. He's a goofy lil bastard for sure, but I appreciate the videos!
I've heard he takes plays off & that he doesn't perform near as well against good defenses. I've never seen him play except his highlight video, so I have no idea whether this is true or not though. 99 & Nolimit, I'll probably be joining you in Houston in a couple months when I graduate.
Let me know if you have any questions about Houston. My wife and I got married in the summer of 2000 after I finished at LSU and moved here the following summer after she completed her 5 year program. We live in the Heights area near downtown but there are a lot of other nice (and not nice) places to live in outer-Houston if you can deal with the traffic. We want to move back to Lafayette or BR but the economy just isn't the same. At least Houston is only a few hours away and makes it convenient for a weekend trip.
