I know McGuffie's coach. Stoops, Weis,Carroll and other head coaches have visited his school and talked to the coaching staff there.

Only an LSU assistant has visited--not Les Miles.

McGuffie and his coaches were very impressed by Pete Carroll.

LSU has not offered a scholarship to him. We may not be interested.

The last time I looked, McGuffie wasn't listing LSU as one of his choices.

We weren't ever at the top of the list. The kid just wants as many offers as possible to stroke his ego.

Thats what I think also. In fact I don't see him going to SC. If he goes to SC he'll be just another RB. I don't think his ego will let him.

    Fight On !!

I agree with your thinking but man, I've been saying that and they keep stock piling them at USC.

Not just RB's, who would've thought Mustain would've gone too.

Just look at this kid's pics on Rivals. He looks like "off-field trouble". I hope he goes to Ole Miss so that Coach O can take his shirt off and beat him into submission....Yaw Yaw Yaw!!!

I hear you tiga about Mustain but IMO Mustain coming to SC was necessary for 1 main reason (other than the fact he is a talented QB)....... competition. Competition on your team makes everyone better and keeps the starters working hard to keep that spot. MM already has starting exp. in the SEC. That gives him an edge over most QB's. IMO next year Mustain will push Sanchez but Sanchez will start. Mark Sanchez IMO and many other Trojans fans is a better overall QB than Palmer,Leinart and Booty, he just has to go out there and prove it.

Palmer and Leinart left quite an impressive resume including 2 Heisman trophies and a NC. Palmer is slowly securing himself as a potentially great NFL QB while Leinart had a solid rookie year but needs some more time. Booty just finished leading USC to a great Rose Bowl win over Michigan and barring injury, will be the starter this season. Mark has yet to take a snap as the starting QB............tons of potential but nowhere close to being considered "better" IMO.

I have heard the same, I dont think Uran thinks he is better now and should be the starter over Booty. He just means that he has better mechanics and has higher potential than Booty. I also think Mark will be a better QB than Booty when it is all said and done. Booty has the experience and should have a great year.

thanx bhelm you pretty much nailed it, what I was trying to say, I just hope vball doesn't think I don't support Booty.
When the big debate started last year between Booty & Sanchez I supported Booty and still do. Saying that I do believe next year Sanchez is going to have an incredible year especially for a first year starting QB (granted he will be a RSJR). Like i said in my original post....he just has to go out and do it. He has all world talent and he probably knows the play book inside out and back again.

    Fight On !!

Sam sounds like an arrogant little prick, and I'm glad we didn't offer him. Shocked at how slow our RB's are? Son, your scrawny butt wouldn't last one quarter in this conference.

Just remember that remark when the guys you would have been backing up here are in the NFL and you're working at Burger King.
