Yep, I garnered the same thing. Didnt much like his comments about how slow our current backs are. That wouldnt bode well for relationships if he in fact came here. I know the question isnt directed towards me but I liken players of his size and talent to a Brian Westbrook. The kids incredible Sparq ratings are pretty telling in just how athletic he really is. The video's on him are incredible but who knows. Maybe he couldnt handle the every down pounding but we really havent had a true every down back in a while. For the last 6 or 7 years we have pretty much used at least 2 and mostly 3 backs.
He'll put on 10-15 lbs his freshman year automatically due to his body developing from a "boy" frame to a "man" frame. I do not know if anyone noticed his bio on rivals but the kid bench presses 335 lbs and with added weight will only get stronger. Take the weight he is now in HS and add 20-25 lbs and that's what he'll probably be his sophomore or junior year. I'd love to have him at Bama but I doubt we'll even be in the running. We're on his list but not one of his favorites.
Don't count Saban out yet- he'll have a lot more time this year to work on the ones he really wants so you never know. It is still early and there'll be some flip floping when visits are made.
I dont think he will be great. I think he will be as great as any of the RB's we are on. I think next year is when we need to get the big time RB's...not this year.
I dont think I have ever seen a white kid run like McGuffie. Check out this youtube video. Amazing...
He's pretty fast. He likes to jump a lot. Ask that Arizona player what happens when you leave the ground in the SEC.
McGuffie might be able to answer that some day. He just received an offer from USC. Let's see what he does with it.
