This would actually be a good point in that stupid discussion about a college team beating a pro team. With Carr under center, it may actually be possible.
My apathy toward the NFL has returned. I haven't watched a play in 2 weeks. Thanks for last year Saints, but my Sundays do not include football now(except at 7 pm on Cox:thumb: ).
It's obvious last year was a one-year wonder. This team is pathetic. Can't block, can't run, can't throw, can't catch, etc. Payton is a completely different coach this year. His gameplans totally suck. Reminds of Jim Haslett, has great season in his first year and then it's all downhill after that. The Saints are back.....as the laughing-stock of the NFL.
I was going to ask what accounted for the drastic turn around this year, but I think you pretty well summed it up.
I think last year they really did ride the emotion all the way to the NFCCG. If I remember correctly, toward the end of last year all the "hard" games were at home in the Superdome. Then they played Phily in the dome and won that. Then they goto Chicago where the emotional energy is gone and they played like s**t.
I tip my hat and salute the NO Saints organization for their accomplishments last year. It was fun while it lasted. It's now apparent that it was a fluke . . . a wonderful fluke, but, a fluke. WE NOW RETURN YOU TO YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED SAINTS . . . . . . PRO FOOTBALL'S LAUGHINGSTOCK. I must not be much of a Saints fan, because I laugh at their ineptitude as much as anybody. The Saints are a joke/loser franchise.
hey Q, you might wanna change your avatar. We won't be seeing that image again anytime soon! :angryfire
