Perhaps the thread should be renamed 5-11... Saints & Chargers two of the most underachieving teams in football.

The Saints are not under acheiving. They are playing exactly as they should considering they have no offensive line, no defense and Jason David. Stop Bush and you stop the Saints. Colston couldn't save them today and the Texans, despite their best efforts, didn't give the game away. They'll be lucky to sniff .500. That 4 game winning streak was an aberration.

It's a great day to be a Texans fan, especially among the front-running Saint fans.

Don't be too smug. Your Texans wouldn't have beaten any other NFL team today.

Virtually the same team that led the league in scoring last year was brought back. The highly paid offensive line, the highly paid free agents are UNDERachieving.

Entirely irrelevant. They've been decimated by injuries to an already shaky line-up. I'll take what I can get!

Not having Jamaal Brown hurt them a good bit, but they're certainly not playing at the same level as last year.

Perhaps Joe Horn is missed more than anyone (especially me) ever thought he would be.

Po-Tay-Toe, Po-Tah-To. I prefer to think they OVERacheived last season. Do you honestly see playoff level talent out there? The highly paid O-line cannot run block for crap and Brees never gets to sit in the pocket. Highly paid free agents? Like Jason David? End this, dude. You're getting killed.

I'm not trying to get you mad. The Texans are what? 5 years in the league. I've been where you are. I understand how you can follow the team regardless of the circumstances. Hopefully by 2042 they'll have participated in a Superbowl. If they haven't, and you're still around, you'll understand why the Saints affect me like they do.

Nope, can't make me mad after a win!

Five years in the league, though this is only year 2 of the new regime in the front office. Unlike most fans, I understand they need two more drafts and some free agents in order to compete with the best teams in the league. I don't expect miracles in the interim, but do enjoy the wins.
