With home field advantage throughout...
Some of my co-workers were dogging on the Saints not too long ago. I was trying to tell them that they would turn things around. By all accounts they really should 5-3, they basically gift-wrapped and handed the game to Carolina. They have the character to be champions, they just need to keep up the play-making. Fortunately the NFC is weak, and the playoffs are in sight.
One more thing, if the Saints make the playoffs, they will be the first team to start 0-4 and make the post-season.
I'm pretty sure the Chargers in 94 went 11-5 after going 0-4 and lost to the 49ers in the Super Bowl.
Im positive that happened. But the Saints will go 12-4, i think they win out. We might lose in Chicago if the playoff scenario is locked up and Peyton does what he did last year and not play his key players (Drew, Reggie, etc.).
Sorry, 1992. Went 11-5 after going 0-4. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/sdg1992.htm Funny enough, they beat Seattle to win their first game of the season as well. So there you go. Saints go 11-5.
Deuce getting injured was the best thing that ever happened to the Saints. Finally Payton stopped calling some gimmicky play involving Bush every down and is playing normal football.
Hmmmmm. Good point, but it did seem to work last year. I think the run defense is a large part of their recent success.
