2-0 in The Gauntlet portion of the schedule. 2 not very pretty wins, but the W's are all that's important.
Right, Ws are all the matters. This was one of the most conservative game plans from Sean Payton that I've ever seen. 29 rushes and 24 passes. I thought for a second that Carl Smith was calling the plays. Most of the passes were underneath so Brees didn't throw for a ton of yards. Hats off to the defense though. Even though Cousins threw for over 300 yards, a lot of those were in the first half. We made some great adjustments at halftime and really shut them down in the 2nd half, with the exception of the late TD drive. Defense finally won us a game. That's a GREAT sign moving forward. It shows that we can win in multiple ways and not just have to rely on the right arm of Brees.
On a completely unrelated note, I was watching highlights of the Cinn/TB game (I like watching division rivals lose) and noticed the Bengal defense doing 'the pose' after a pick/6 from Winston. Is there anything they won't poach from us? I get that a lot of teams have stolen that from us, but seeing Cincy do it is particularly annoying since they've already taken The Who Dat and bastardized it into 'Who Dey' and now this? Have they no shame? Get your own traditions you unoriginal culture vultures.
