Time for Saints Football folks. Will be looking at a few Saints players. On the other side, the Rams have two former Tigers... #72 Joe Barksdale T St. Louis Rams, has locked down the LOT position. #90 Michael Brockers DT St. Louis Rams, played well last year, should do well this year, making that next step. The Rams look to have one of the better DL's in Pro ball.
He's only 3 years out of college football. Got plenty left, methinks. We'll see if all on here that have been bashing him non-stop eat crow at some point. Some players just take time to develop, esp. w/nagging injuries. Patience may payoff w/MI. He sure looks hungry.
What impressed me the most and what seems to bode well for us is that he did it mostly against the Rams starting D, who probably have the best front 4 in the NFL. Then again, it's only the first game of the pre-season, but it's still encouraging when you consider how strong he finished off last year.
And the run blocking, even without Evans and Grubbs was very good. About the only guy I was really disappointed in Friday was Brandon Coleman. I really thought he had a shot at making the 53, based on his college tapes and his measurables. But after dropping 2 balls right in his hands (one turned into a tip-drill int.), he's going to have to be spectacular the rest of the way to make even the practice squad.
Ingram looked like a beast. Nobody told him this was a preseason game, he thought it was the playoffs. Either that or he was trying to shut up some people in this forum who refuse to give him his credit when he has played well like at the end of last season. If he plays like that consistently he will be getting the bulk of the carries.
