We all know that the media will be playing the disaster recovery card this week. How bout the fact that not only Stallworth is coming back to the Big Easy, but also Darren Howard? I do feel good about the way Phili played against the Giants. If they play like that against us, that game is over before we get it started.
Yes I do know that. I also know that Garcia was not starting QB. I also know that the Eagle's D was horrible. I also know that StillHurt was.....StillHurt. My point is that the Eagles are the hot team in the NFC right now and they are the team that I was most concerned about. But if they come to NO and play like they did against NY, we will wipe the floor with them.
Lito Sheppard is out for this weeks game with a dislocated elbow. He is a pro bowl corner and that is the one injury they could not afford (other than the obvious Garcia and Westbrook). Saints pass to set up the run as usual with Deuce wearing down the defense in the 4th quarter. Saints 34, Eagles 17. In related news, Rex Grossman is still celebrating New Years eve and goes 10 for 32 for 98 yards and 4 picks and the Bears get crushed by the Seahawks 37-17.
I know the game is Saturday. Is it the 3:30 or 7:00pm game? I think the Saints can expose the Eagles secondary a lot in this game. Eli was able to do it at times tonight, and Drew Brees is a much better qb. So, I think I tend to agree with an earlier statement about passing to set up the run. Another factor is Reggie Bush's emergence as a key offensive threat. At the time we played the Eagles in the regular season, he was still the NFL's most expensive decoy.
Also, for the first time in a long while, the Saints offense will be in full force. Our offense is a lot better than it was the first time we played Philly. They have no idea what RB is all about. Saints win........34-13!
