I think so, but they may just be blind faith talking. I'm amused by the amount of airplay Payton's comments are getting, about how they're preparing for the cold weather game by using heavier warmups and changing brands of sports drink (or something like that). Am I the only one who thinks he's being a smartass and just doesn't want to talk about the weather?
That and the fact that he's probably trying to take some of the pressure off the team by blaming other circumstances for the road L's.
SB winning coach vs rookie NFL coach. Give me the SB winning coach, even on the road in snow. We beat the Giants on the road in the winter. And Brees isn't an 0'fer on the road, they just haven't been as great. Certainly, the potential to win is there and coaching experience may make the difference, imho.
I know, right. Also, he went to Purdue, so you have to figure he's had some success playing in snow/cold weather games.
