He doesn't get the carries in the Saints offense for us to know if you're right (he did it in college, but this is the NFL) and I doubt he ever will. Maybe there's a running back hungry team out there that would at least give us the 2nd round pick we traded to move up and take him in the first place.
Funny that, in the one real area where you can find a similarity in the coaching styles of Sean Payton and Les Miles, Miles wins in comparison. Both believe in a running back by committee approach, but Miles seems to have a better understanding about how to implement the system (leave a guy in there and let him get a few carries rather than shuffle them every play).
Agreed. Running backs and quarterbacks alike need to get in a rhythm to have their highest efficiency. The saints do not allow their running backs to do this, except maybe when Pierre Thomas tore Indy's ass up in the super bowl.
