With a win today the saints are back into league contention...Geaux Saints...still my NFL team no matter. 4th quarter Saints 24 niners 3
That seemed like it was the longest NFL game ever. That said, I can't believe the Saints actually did some good today. They made it look extremely easy the entire time. Whether that was because the Saints were good or because the Fortywhiners were bad is up for debate.
Im glad the Saints are playing ball finally, but it still pisses me off cause we SHOULD be 5-2 at least. The Saints gave Tenn. and Carolina those games. The offense is FINALLY coming around and the D is much better. I didn't understand why the Saints kept playing the soft zone to start the year. We don't have good enough players to play that style. So now they blitz pretty much every play and it's been working. They're not giving the QB all day to throw (hint: Bo Pelini). If the Saints beat J-ville next week, it's a good chance they win out if no one else gets hurt. Saints have a very weak schedule the rest of the way.
Anyone notice how much better the D has been WITHOUT Jason David in the game? Since he's gone down, the Saints have been much, much better. That was a waste of $15 million.
I am almost certain he played in the 49er game (back from injury). At least thats what the people on saintsreport.com were talking about. I didn't get to see the game but I remember people saying he had a good game.
Indeed, he did play. I don't know if it was so much the Saints defense playing well as much as it was the 49ers offense playing bad.
