They got a guy who had surgery for an injury he had before he was even at The U. And yes, they got him at a discount, but I truly believe he will make a HUGE difference on this defense.

And they do spend money to get players. They just don't go after every big name free agent that is available every year simply because the fans want them to. But I'm not going to get into that AGAIN.

can't wait till the Saints draft another broken WR. Meacham was the worst pick of the entire 2007 draft.

You must have gone to the bathroom when I was really anxious and heard this:

"And with the 9th pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select...Ted Ginn, Jr, Ohio State."

    Jaw drops, blames football gods.

I don't normally call out people who say they are injured, but look like they're not really injured, but Ted Ginn didn't seem to mind too much when his "ankle injury" kept him out of the title game.

He just quit after the 1st play pretty much. He didn't even try to get back in there.

I met some OSU writers for the Sugar Bowl and they all thought he was doing a good acting job, too.

Hopefully the fact that he sucks as a pro is an act and he will come around.

Ted Ginn at least played this season. He ended up with 420 yards and 2 TDs. I agree that this was a horrible pick as well, but Meachem serves no purpose on the Saints team. They wasted a high draft pick when they could have used the defensive help.

I just wanted to show my hatred for that pick last year. ;)

I fully agree Meachum wasnt a good pick, and not because he sucks so far. And even if he becomes a great WR this year it still would have been a bad pick.

I was screaming for a trade down at that point last year, and would have been find with picking Olsen. When they picked Meachem, I was like, "They did what?!!"
