I am not a huge fan, but if I were a season-ticket holder, I'd be pissed. I don't know the opponent, but I'd imagine it's against one of the NFL's sweethearts like the Giants, Jets, Packers, etc... so they could get one less road game to get an unfair advantage.
I don't see anyone reporting it, but my friend works in PR for the team and he texted me just now and the message said: "Saints to play 'home' game in England. What a joke." So I assume he knows something I don't?
My parents are season ticket holder and I am going to call them tomorrow and let them know! She will NOT be happy!
dolphins reps hated it this year. seriously, if the nfl wants to market its product in europe why chose the saints?
The game is going to be against the Chargers. So it could potentially (key word there) amount to being a pretty good football game. Two words: Reggie Bush. :thumb:
I know it could be a good game, but that is what makes it worse... Say the Saints lose by 3 and miss the playoffs by 1 game. I don't know about you, but I'd be on my high horse saying that if this game were in the dome, they'd have won.
While it has been a reputation for the saints not to play well at home (minus last year). I agree with you that the home field advantage can come into play at close games for them. But my problem is not so much with or without the dome (once again minus the money the dome and nola makes for home games) but with the travel time. That is a lot of time not resting and not practicing to travel back and forth! On top of that add into just resting after the trip! I know they don't travel like the rest of us lowly folks but as anyone that travels a lot can tell you it is exhausting at times! Anyway rant done! It is what it is.
it's a lot worse for the Chargers. For the Saints, it's the equivalent of a west-coast trip, pretty much. But it's way, way worse for the Chargers.
