excellent sign by payton. Played at pitt yet excelled in spite of Wannstedt.

good size 6'2 225 or so. good arm, threw for a bunch of 300+ yard games and was pretty efficient from what I remember of him. Did a number on wva as a soph and beat them when they were pretty loaded. I dont think he did as well his senior year but wannstedt took over after I believe.

I love the meachem pick. I thought he was better than bowe before the UT game and he certainly proved it on the field. He catches the ball with his hands and explodes past safeties/corners a la the #6 pick in laron. If the saints can make a terrence copper productive the sky is the limit on a true talent. Much better hands than devery and physical as well. I didnt realize he was 6'3 due to his speed.

I also love pittman. Hes fast as hell and bush is really a wr mainly. He will surely fit in this system eventually when his time comes. Knowing payton, that will be sooner than later.

i dont know anything about the other no-name picks from podunk u. I like the palko signing a lot though I think he scored low on the wonderlic. Somewhere around where that idiot marino scored. another pitt dude come to think of it.

I think Payton has the potential to do wonders with Palko. With a few years as Drew's backup, he'll definitely be ready to handle the NFL.
