Would rather have sign Leftwich over Brunell and Harrington.Does this mean Palko career with the Saints is over since he cant even be the 3rd string QB. If Palko can stick around this long AP should've too. I guess next year they will draft or sign a Rookie QB.

Agreed. If you can sign him with the understanding that he's the 3rd QB, I don't see how anyone could complain if they're a Saints fan. THe only downside is losing the depth on the DL.

The Saints sign a guy as a 3rd string QB that started 12 games last year and people question the move?

Hell, it wouldn't surprise me if they waived Brunell now. I think it was a good pick up.

A team that needs defensive depth signs another QB and releases a DT. I can see why some would question the move.

If the guy the Saints cut would have ever had to be on the field in a meaningful spot, then the Saints were in a bind anyway.

I see nothing wrong with this move. And he may never see a snap as a Saint but could play the roll as scraps in a trade.

So release him for a back up CB or Saftey. This move almost seems like those impulse buys you have at the checkout counter. You don't really need it, but it's a good deal.

All I'm sayin' is that if Brees would have ever gone down, you need someone to play.

Brunell is a good fix job in the middle of a game. But not in a long-term situation.

Not saying Harrington is a savior. But I'd rather see him running an offense for 3-4 weeks than slow as molasses Brunell.

So they should trade Brunell imo.

    and get what?

    a bag of chips?

    a 12-pack of beer?

He is like 50 and only signed with the Saints to be close to home.

I can't see anyone going out of their way to get him.
