Saints scored on the opening drive and had some great push up front on D. Saints beat the Card 24-10. http://blog.nola.com/nolasports/2008/08/upon_further_review_saints_car.html
D line looked MUCH BETTER, Coach O has got those boys working! However it is still the same ole secondary giving up the big play, blowing coverage and letting wrs get behind them. The O line looked like POO! Meachem's play was GREAT along with Thomas and Green returning kicks and punts. And its great to know that IF Brees goes down we have a back up that knows and can play at a starters level!
Agree on all counts. Hopefully the secondary will get some help if McKenzie and Tracy Porter can get healthy and compete. The good news is the team looked pretty good last night, and we were missing many of our big players.
I quit watching after Leinart carved 'em up like a Christmas turkey. I'm afraid the pass defense will keep the Saints out of the playoffs...again.
Years of experience, son. Years of experience. I want them to do well, but I've been made to be extremely cynical. I'll try to quit raining on your parade and hopefully you will someday be able to throw my words back at me.
I've heard you give your side many times, I just have a hard time comprehending it. It's amazing to me how you can have such a level headed approach to all things LSU, but when it comes to the Saints you immediately grab onto anything negative and it's all over for them. Just fascinating.
I have to agree with you on that, because that secondary is like swiss cheese. Meachem looked good in a preseason game. The gripe last year was he wasnt strong enough to get seperation in press coverage and he wasnt picking up the play book well. I hope that has changed.
