We all know that CSP likes to keep his cards close to his vest and he doesn't divulge too much info regarding injuries. Although I think it's a great strategy, it sucks for people like us who want to know. Today, CSP spoke of the injuries. Payton: I" won't have anything to say in regard to any of these players now regarding injuries. I was optimistic today (with some of them)." So, as news comes out (IF it comes out) regarding the status of Chris Ivory, Jimmy Graham, Malcolm Jenkins, Pierre Thomas, Dave Thomas, etc. please post it here.
I'd like to know about any of the above, plus Marques Colston. I was surprised when he didn't play yesterday because I hadn't heard anything at all about his injury; unless he was just given the day off to rest, which is doubtful.
Colston had knee surgery to clean something up right after the ATL game. He should be good to go come Saturday.
Yeah, he got a scope. I think he should be good to go for Saturday, too. Jimmy Graham's injury didn't look that bad. He limped off the field after he caught that TD. Chris Ivory's injury is listed as a foot which is different from the hammy that he's had troubles with. I would say that Graham and Ivory were probably held out for precautionary measures (and b/c Atlanta was shellacking Carolina at the time). During the game, their returns were listed as questionable. They were never listed as "out". I'm not sure about Dave and Pierre Thomas, but seriously if Ivory and Graham are ok, we can win without those two. BTW, Jeremy Shockey tweeted earlier that he's "baaaack". So I'm assuming he'll be ready to go on Saturday. IMO, we'll be healthy and thus we'll kick the shiit out of Seattle.
cbssports.com reports that Ivory was seen in the locker room today using crutches and a walking boot. Also reporting that Jenkins was to have his kneecap MRI'd today.
It doesn't mean it is bad news either. A week before the OSU/OU game up here Justin Blackmon was on crutches and in a boot as well and he not only played but played well. A lot of times they do this to keep pressure off the foot and keep them from moving/re-injuring it. Keep your chin up big boy.Saintslogo
