Looks like Reggie might be in on a few passing plays, but probably not carry the ball much, if at all. Stecker is doing his best impersonation of Deuce right now, and it has really helped in keeping the Saints balanced "enough" on offense. I'd be happy if he can stay healthy so that he can run one play versus the Bears.....the wheel route. Touchdown.
If Washington can beat Minnesota this weekend, that sets up a great scenario for the Saints. Both Washington and Minnesota would be 8-7, and both would be headed into some fairly tough games. Washington has Dallas at home, who will be trying to hold off Green Bay for home field advantage, so the game will be very meaningful to both. Minnesota plays at Denver, where it's always hard to beat the Broncos. So conceivably, we're looking at a Saints team that may end up in the playoffs at 8-8. It looks at though the loss would have to be @Chicago, hoewever, since a head to head loss to Philly might put an 8-8 Philly team in the playoffs (not sure how the tie-breakers would work out in that 4 team scenario).
Something tells me that it just isn't going to work out for the New Orleans Saints this season. December football is not historically kind to the Saints. Perhaps some bizarre play will intervene and keep the Saints out of the post-season.
The Mike McKenzi (sp) injury may be about all they can handle. The old, worn out horse is about to finally be taken behind the barn... thank goodness.
I have little rules as to the playoffs. The Saints just violated 2 of them: 1. Teams that give up 24+ in the 1st half to Donovan McChoke don't belong. 2. Teams that have 2nd and goal from the 1-inch line should score in 3 plays.
stupid playcalling prevents a td from half an inch yard line. SPREAD OUT THE OFFENSE IF YOU ARE GOING TO RUN 3 TIMES!!! YOU DUMB ASS COACH!
