The Saints are professionals. They get paid obscene amounts of money to produce. This is the NFL; The elite of the elite. There is no excuse for missing (not blocked, not a bad snap) a chip shot 37 yard field goal. There is no excuse for letting a has been return a kickoff for a TD in such a crucial situation. There is no excuse for running routes that stop a foot short of the marker on 3rd down. There is no excuse for letting a fat, mediocre, inexperienced quarterback scramble 8 yards for a 1st down on the most crucial 3rd down play of the game.

I'll never criticize college kids who play because they love the game despite grueling classwork and poverty level money in their pockets.

But you can bet your ass I'll get after these overpaid prima donnas if they don't put out 100% everytime they step on the field.

Hopefully this is the year they don't break our hearts. I've been a NY Mets my entire life and know what it's like. I adopted the Saints as my team in the '80's when I was a student at LSU, after many years of rooting for the NY teams.

I hope they can pull it together next week at Carolina and secure the home field... Although, maybe they play better on the road!

I'm currently living in kentucky and i tell everyone i talk football with (and i've done it since week 2) that i'm just waiting for the wheels to fall off like has happened every single year i've watched the saints since i was 4. I'm still holding out hope that things pick back up but i'm not holding my breath.

To even think about it hurts...one of the worst offenses in the NFL is down 17-0, the Bucs don't panic because they have the perfect game plan to come back and win...RUN IT UP THE MIDDLE !!!!

On a side note...for the second week in a row, the fans have given up on the Saints. I went to the airport to welcome the team back and no one was there !!!!

Went to the game today. Two special team plays cost us the game, punt return for TD and then missed fieldgoal. Very tough to be "up" for 16 games. Save it for the playoffs, thats the big(ger) picture :thumb:

If they don't tighten their act up, any playoff team they face will make them their biotch. They make Joe Blow look like Joe Montana. I think they peaked early, was a good season. Now it's up to them, as men, to make it a great one. I think they got the bighead, decided all they had to do was show up to win, now it's gotten away from 'em. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see them winning another game. Who wuz dat???
