Scott Shanle @scottshanle 4d whoever Saints hire need to bring back attitude & swag we had in 2009-11& no it wasn't because of $50 pool we had. Save da bounty comments
So you're saying the Saints pass D, which was atrocious last year, was better off than we would have been blitzing the QB more, like we did under Williams? Were the pass Ds under Williams this bad... 2012 Saints Pass Defense 30 sacks - 6th to last 93.8 opposing QB rating - 5th to last 293 passing ypg - 2nd to last 4681 passing yards - 2nd to last 31 passing TD - 2nd to last 8.1 Passing yards/att - dead last
2013 New Orleans Saints: Maybe This Rob Ryan Guy Isn't Half Bad By Jason Bernos After flipping over cars and burning couches in response to the Rob Ryan hire, I have calmed down in some respects to the New Orleans Saints bringing in "the other Ryan" to the Big Easy. ... (during Ryan's time as a DC) he never had dependable offense on the other side that would put up enough points on the board or give Ryan's defenses a lead to play with. ... In Ryan's nine seasons as a defensive coordinator, his offenses have given him a lead of at least eight points or more in 37 games. In those 37 games, his teams have won 27 of them. That's a percentage around the 75 mark. Considering the Saints offense, with Sean Payton at the helm, are a team that rarely gets turned away from scoring points, I'd say that that's a good percentage to go by. .. Last time i checked, winning 75 percent of your games is a 12-4 season. ... in the 2006 season when (Ryan's) Oakland Raiders went 2-14. ... His team came in ranked first in pass defense and third in total yards. That is a No. 1 ranking where the two safeties were a baby-faced rookie named Michael Huff and some guy named Stuart Schweigert. That year alone should at least give you the idea that, with any personnel, he will keep his players fighting for him because if they could still play hard during that pathetic offensive season he can get just about anything out of a player ... One of the reasons... is because the man knows how to connect with his players, and they love to play for the man.

Josh Liskiewitz @JoshLiskiewitz 1d @SC_DougFarrar (of Yahoo Sports) Cameron Jordan in particular could be a monster in that front - much better fit for him. #Saints #RobRyan
SC_DougFarrar (of Yahoo Sports) @SC_DougFarrar 2d I actually like Rob Ryan for Saints' current personnel. Everything from 1- gap 5-2 to Psycho defense. Spags' more static fronts didn't fit. Jack Mitchell @themitchdraft 2d @SC_DougFarrar I feel like Martez coil have a breakout year. SC_DougFarrar @SC_DougFarrar @themitchdraft Yeah, Martez is one of those "watch the heck out, here he comes" guys for 2013. Jack Mitchell @themitchdraft 2d @SC_DougFarrar People forget he was a top five HS recruit. Really talented guy w/ untapped pass- rushing ability.
