Seeing the way Carolina has been playing defense of late, coupled with the Minnesota loss, the Dallas win may be a blessing for the Saints. For 1, it gets all the undefeated talk off the table, for 2 with Carolina winning, if New Orleans takes care of business and beats Tampa the regular season goals have been achieved going into Carolina. Which means the Saints can rest starters. Carolina to me was going to be the only loss of the season, i think they will beat the Saints at home in the final week, but that doesn't matter. The Saints need to clinch home field throughout, and then get healthy. Also i think they may want to take a look at free agents out there on the D Line, or Linebacker for the playoffs they could sign for some more depth, they have already drained the waiver wire for DB's, which is a weakness, but they are also weak in defending the run right now. Luckily Drew and the O has been able to put up more points that the D has surrendered, but the D was also creating turnovers. They need to get back to that.

oh, and Carolina's defense is playing really good right now, they are hard hitting, and mean, fast and strong, i don't think the Saints should risk having Peppers hit Drew from the blindside either.

    So.......

    1. Beat Tampa win the NFC regular season
    2. Rest Starters vs. Carolina at halftime
    3. Get Healthy going into the playoffs and look at possible free agents on defense for extra playoff depth.
    4. Win 2nd round playoff game
    5. Win NFC championship
    6. Win Super Bowl

+++1 The only reason I want to have to watch Minnesota-Chicago is to see if king Brett is really starting to fall apart late season as some have suggested. Also I read in the Arizona Republic this morning that Arizona's chances just took a hit. Their starting LT had to be operated on this morning for a bad sports hernia. He will probably misss the rest of the season. Considering Warner's mobility(NOT) and the fact that he usually fumbles when sacked from the blindside then that's not good for them.:bncry:

    Correction:

Saints get 1 home game in the playoffs, no matter what happens from here on out.

The O, The D, The special teams.

    All pitiful.

Yes we now have home field advantage, although so far our only loses are at home, so I'm not so sure it's an advantage. More importantly we need to win the first before we can even think about the second. Saintslogo
