Great division win that puts us all alone in first place in the South. Defense came up HUGE when it mattered most. That said, I thought the playcalling on offense was particularly bad today. It just seemed like we where predictable for most of the game and I never thought I'd say that about a Sean Payton offense. But, we got the W despite rushing for less than 40 yards and that's all that counts. During the bye week, NFL teams usually use that time off to self scout and determine their own tendencies. Hopefully, that's what we'll do and come out smokin' the last 6 games of the year.
Mike Smith is a moron, but since there are no moral victories in the NFL, I'll take it. Lot's of issues for the defense to address during the bye week.
We can only run the ball in one stadium. The Georgia Dome ain't it, and that has a lot to do with the play calling.
I like how Kenny Albert tried to jinx Kasey right before the kick, saying he hasn't missed one inside of 30yrds since 1997.
Fair is fair. Jim Henderson got their kicker in the first half, saying he entered the game with a string of 28 in a row.
I'm with ya, but you still expect to get more than 40 yards rushing no matter where you play. We didn't anything out of the running game today. This offense doesn't need 100yrds rushing to be effective. Just enough to keep the defense honest and off balance, but we didn't even get that today. They basically ignored our play action because they knew we weren't going to do anything.
Well, we won and the rest of the division lost. Nice way to enter the bye week. Now maybe Greg Williams can reinvent this defense to turn around the rest of the season.
