this pretty much guarantees a loss against the cowpokes sunday night. At least he can return while the roids may still be helping for the postseason. saints defense is going to take a big hit since he was the anchor. reggie is going to need 4 tds a week from here out to win most of these games because their d is going to be exposed against a tough schedule. thank you jonathan sullivan.
thats standard practice but he runs the risk of missing the postseason if it fails. Maybe he can roll it over til next season like they do in baseball.
I believe he already has. What we are hearing about is the end of his appeal. The NFL didn't grant it. The article said that the league took his asthma problems into consideration, but still felt that he should be suspended for the remainder of the season. He will be added back to the active roster on January 1.
The NFL is really making a statement, aren't they? They would rather see the guy die from asphyxiation I guess. But lo and hehold ole Ricky Williams can smoke until there is no more damn trees in the forest and he'll still be reinstated. Phuck you new commish. I hope you die from an asthma attack.
Easy there tiger. I can only assume that the NFL is denying his appeal because they hear so many B.S. excuses. Thomas may really need this for his asthma...I don't know, but you can bet that everytime a player is busted for steriods he comes up with some B.S. story as to where they came from or why he needed them. Just because he had a note from a doctor doesn't necessarily mean his story was true. But you're right, the NFL IS making a statement. It's a no excuses policy. You have steriods in your system, then you are busted. If you need to take something (like an asthma medication) that you know has steriods in it, then you better call the league office and get approval before doing it.
There was a doctor on ESPN radio talking about this earlier this evening. He said there is a VERY SLIM chance that what he failed ofr was in his asthma medicine. He started talking about what goes into asthma medication, and said that none of the components show up as steroid in a p!$$ test. However, he did say that it is possible that his medication combined with other supplements COULD possibly show up as a steroid.
