No respect for the team that beat your team by 31 in the playoffs, rendering you personally a non-factor in the process? Jeez! Larry Fitzgerald hopes Brett Favre retires, disses the Saints | ProFootballTalk.com
In all fairness that is what all the "pundits" are saying too. That's cool with me, takes alot of pressure off the Saints.
Maybe, but media disrespect is just watercooler fodder for the fans. When a player does it, that's something to take notice of. Or maybe he's just still bitter after the azz-whipping.
Apparently they think we're one and done and last year was a fluke. I believe that gotten over the proverbial hump and have a champion's swagger. Here's to a '2-Dat'.
Well, I agree with some of the responses to the article. Just because he didn't mention the Saints doesn't mean he is "dissing" them. We are the new kids on the block so when one is talking about powerhouses, it may take a few seasons for us to be in that category. We've been climbing the ladder the last few seasons and reached the pinnacle last year. Let's see if we can stay there.
Reality is, repeating back to back is very difficult and not something done very often. Although not being a contendor and not at least making it to the playoffs is also something that doesn't happen very often either.
Have to disagree. The NFC doesn't really have a powerhouse, and we just won a superbowl. I don't think his comments were dissing the Saints, just saying.
What have the Cowboys, Vikings, or Packers DFML? The closest thing the NFC has had to a powerhouse in recent memory is the streak the Eagirls went on. The NFC is a conference of parity. To not mention the Superbowl champs is a dis IMFO.
Come on, the Super Bowl champs beat your ass like a rented mule and you're not going to mention them in the context of Super Bowl contenders for this season? That's disrespect. Obviously still irks him that we beat them so badly and sent his boy Kurt into retirement. That hit by Will Smith probably was the final straw for Warner in his decision and Fitz knows it. He also knows his numbers will never be the same with Leinhart at the helm. Lots to be pissed about.
