Reggie being out will make a big difference. Say what you want about Reggie, but he changes opposing DC's game plans.....they must always account for him. With him being out, it's a much easier task for the opposing DC to plan for the Saints offense.
Maybe...but it should also make it easier for the Saints to run a balanced offense without trying to get him the ball. He had a great game last weekend but often we seem to try too hard to get the ball in his hands and that has resulted in killing some drives. I think we'll be fine without him. Hopefully he'll rest...watch the game from the sideline...learn a little by watching...get hungry by not being on the field...and come back in a week or so and be the player we hoped he would be when we drafted him. We're getting to the point (time of year and division lead) where we'll need to start resting players. Hopefully missing a game will be a positive thing come playoff time.
With the LSU season officially ending today it's time to switch the focus to the Saints. I just hope they don't fall victim to the injury bug. They've already had their share. I also hope we don't end up with any former SEC officials in the playoffs. If so, you may as well just flip a coin and let the winner move on. There's not much reason to play the game when the players aren't allowed to decide it.
The first Saints drive looked good until we fell down on third down ending the drive. Great punt to the five! The defense has given up two runs allowing the Bucs to get out of trouble. Great sack!!!
2nd and 18 for Tampa...incomplete pass but we lined up offsides. :nope: 2nd and 13...no gain 3rd and 13...QB runs 15 yards for a 1st down. Tampa at midfield. 1st and 10 for Tampa...run for two yards. 2nd and 8...run to the 36 plus a 15 yard facemask. 1st and 10 at the Saints 21...run for three yards 2nd and 7...Roman Harper drops INT in endzone. 3rd and 7...Michael Clayton TD. The Bucs go 95 yards against the Saints defense. That was one of the worst defensive series I have ever seen and it was against Tampa Bay. If we don't get healthy on defense our magical season will not end the way we hope. That was pathetic!!!!!
obvious hold on grant...right in front of the official but Harper should've caught that INT the play before.
We can't go far in the playoffs with last year's defense. They need to step it up. The offense needs to stop making the little mistakes they've been making the last few weeks. Good drive thus far for the Saints. Time to tie this one up!
