Offense was flawless under Brees. Short run by Evans for one TD and about a 40-yard pass from Brees to Henderson...14-0 in 1st quarter

Defense gave up a couple of pass plays but also got a sack and fumble.
Brees to Moore made it 21-0 and Brees' day was over early in the 2nd quarter.

Thanks. I saw some of the highlights at half time. Offense seems to firing on all cylinders. The announcers are claiming the Saints have the number O in the league.

    <--- Is fired up.

Don't think I've ever seen a pro stadium so empty.

Raiders should offer there fans refunds after that performance. I hate to see us waste such a complete game on a preseason contest.

    Thoughts after today's game:

Saints offense will be virtually unstoppable all year long if Shockey stays healthy. He is an enormous weapon and can stretch the field that much more.

One main thing I was looking for was redzone offense, where even last year we struggled a bit. I loved what I saw today. One one drive, it was play action with a single wideout (Moore) and Brees drilled it in from about 8 yards out. That was sweet to see, and a great play call. The Saints have far too often crowded the endzone with 3 or 4 wideouts and maybe even a TE in an obvious passing situation and failed miserably in completing a pass.

The other thing was turnovers and we got some huge ones. This defense looks nothing like the horror we saw under Gibbs the past 3 seasons. Looks like the scheme is coming together nicely already and the players know their roles and are in the correct positions most of the time. We're even getting some free safety play, something we haven't seen ever the past 3 seasons.

The third thing was run blocking for our between the tackles runs. It looked great today. Nice to see. Bell will be an outstanding backup to Thomas and will definitely contribute this season.

All in all, you couldn't ask for a better performance heading into the regular season. No injuries.

Bring on the start of the season. This will be a magical year.

What happen to your boy McFadden? Doesn't look like he's gonna have a breakout year anytime soon. You made a serious blunder with that pick.

Oakland is such a HORRIBLE team that even Adrian Peterson couldn't do well there.

Al Davis is the absolute worst owner in probably all of sports.

Once a storied organization is now a complete joke.

Yes, and I hate it for JaMarcus' sake. He's starting to show that the NFL game is coming to him, and he will have absolutely no supporting cast around him. Unless he gets out of Oakland, I see an Archie Manning-type career ahead for JR.

I needed either a RB/WR at that point and I looked back at our draft and there was no other sure bets on the board at that point. If you find one, please point it out to me.

Willy Parker was your next pick, and that one is just as questionable.

Point being, you could have gotten DMac 2-3 rounds later.

And Willie Parker is healthy and Pitt is a great running team.

    You do the math. calci.
