It's computers, I don't think they have feelings. :) Rankings don't mean squat.

Any rankings that have Oregon State in the top 25, and USC at 10, is not hitting on all cylinders.

Dandy Don?s LSU Recruiting and Sports News - LSU Football and More!

LSU has opened as a 1.5-point favorite in the season-opener to be played in Arlington, Texas. Only twice before have two top-five teams met at a neutral field to open the season.

LSU is guaranteed $3.5 million to play in the game

while Oregon ... is guaranteed $1.75 million.

The game will feature two of the fastest teams in college football. Most of LSU's speed is on defense and most of Oregon's is on offense.

As the old saying goes, speed kills on the highway and on the playing field

... Yes is does ... Dandydon ... Yes it does

Week One Betting: Big Shifts in the Point Spreads | Kegs 'n Eggs Blog

    LSU vs. Oregon (in Dallas)
    Opened: LSU -3
    Current: Oregon -1

Not the massive movement we’ve seen in the games above, but this is the weekend’s biggest matchup and the favorite has changed.

Well, actually a few times now.

A few months ago, some of college football’s biggest games were given point spreads and Oregon opened as a 3-point favorite.

That soon shifted, and LSU became the favorite after it was announced that Cliff Harris was out for Oregon and folks became weary of the Ducks’ connection with Willie Lyles.

Well, with week one betting now in full swing Oregon is taking money once again.

Although this may go back and forth between now and early September, I’d be shocked to see the line reach 3 on either side unless something NCAA-related breaks or another suspension occurs. Wouldn’t shock me to see this game at pick ‘em either, which would be a fitting way to start the season.

Another look around the casinos and websites sees this line in total chaos

Why is LSU making so much more $$$

    Could it be ... :crystal::crystal:

and 14 games later, maybe a third :crystal: .... hmmmmm!

Since it's a "neutral field" why is LSU guaranteed so much more money?

And we sold twice the allotted tickets plus we will probably get our hands on most of the others too.

Quite simply, we're the bigger draw.
