I would be more than thrilled if the Ohio State Luckeyes doesn't make it to the NTG. But as much of a whiner Jim Delany is and college football's bias for the Luckeyes I don't see how they don't make it. He's on the phone as we speak calling every Tom, Dick and Harry to make sure it's set in stone for them. But if LSU plays in the NTG they better heal up fast and stronger than ever because if we do play Ohio State I DON"T want to be remember as the first SEC team to lose to the Luckeyes in a bowl game! I guess we'll find out tonight!
I had projected: 1. VTech 2. LSU 3. Kansas 4. Missouri 5. Ohio State 6. Oklahoma 7. Georgia 8. USC Oklahoma might push a little better in the computer polls than I projected, but it will take voters putting them at a solid #2 in the human polls just for them to have a chance. Somehow I am thinking maybe Mizzou should have played it a lot closer. Ahh, forget it, OU has no chance.
Still don't understand how a team can be ahead of a team that beat them by 41 points. Makes no since.
Computer rankings don't look at teams sitting next to each other in their rankings and do any kind of head to head comparison to move one up or one down. They run their formula, and give each team a numeric score, then order them. Whatever order they come up in is where they sit. It's not a case where they looked at LSU and Virginia Tech individually and said, "I think I'll put VT ahead of LSU."
As long as we get in the big show I don't care who we play although I would prefer USC or OU as either of those two would give us the best game. As crazy as this season was we all know that LSU, USC and OU are far and away the best squads in the land. Thirty days of rest and healing for the big cats and we will be unstoppable! :helmet:
