Wow, Michigan at #11 should make Notre Dame at least #6. You know, cause fat charlie rolls that way. I didn't know Rich Rodriquez was so well endowed. I mean how could he possibly allow a $3 mil. lawsuit affect his judgement. No pressure there. :nope: I guess his spread offence with just a couple of months to teach it must be like magic. He is gonna take who didn't defect or commit to the buckeyes and whop that ass  ...Dewd.
USC nearly 3 points ahead of the field and Michigan 11? Sorry, I can't give these rankings any cred. Notre Dame at 52 is cool though.
It's based on preseason rankings, correct? So you're right - the cred at this point is suspect. However, I'm surprised that LSU's first three games didn't knock us at least out of the Top 10. I guess having UGA, UF and Auburn all in the top 10 was a huge offset. We'll see how long that lasts...
I won't be surprised to see UGA and FL in the top ten(ish) throughout the season. BTW, I LOVE the "Official Gator's Offensive Decision-Maker"!
I thought he used some data from last season until the numbers from this season are able to stand alone. I like Sagarin's method, though I may not always agree with the results. His is a voice of independence.
If this were the initial BCS ratings, LSU would be in good shape if you go undefeated. But suppose LSU falters and USC and Ohio St. go undefeated. Then suppose one of the other SEC teams go undefeated. Think the SEC team could jump into #1 or #2 for the BCSC game? Shades of 1994. Not a likely scenario but it could happen. The initial BCS poll will be critical.
