SAD! Play to lose mentality rears its ugly head once again. The game could have easily been a win. Instead, LSU's going from a BCS Bowl to a lame meaningless bowl game. LSU had the chance to be sitting really GREAT! With a win over Arkansas they could have potentially moved up to 3rd in the BCS. So much for what could have been. Had LSU not settled for field goals and played more aggressively, they would have won. But no, it's the same predictable play calling that leads to a loss. As a start, FIRE Gary Crowton NOW!
The only reason we're in this game is because of two turnovers. this game would very likely be 42-17 otherwise. Overmatched. Plain and simple.

All the bowl games are meaningless except one. Which is why we need a playoff. No worries though, LSU had a great year.

I won't disagree with much of what you've said other than us getting a New Years Day bowl is not meaningless. Before the BCS that was the ulimate goal, and that wasn't that long ago. For long time college football fans we still know and respect that opportunity.
There is a meaningless bowl played on New Year's Day. It's called the Outhouse Bowl because they always ***** on the SEC West. I hope and pray we don't get selected for that crap. If we do I hope LSU declines.
