the more I think about that game the more I realize that LSU lost the second they announced the rematch. It's hard to beat a good team twice in a season, especially when you have to play your way in and they don't and you are the conference champ having already beaten them on their home field. What they should do is award the 2011 championship to the winner of the November 3rd game this season. Home and Home and 1 neutral site. Only fair.

That is true. However, if you look at the rematches that have taken place in the SECCG's, the winner of the first usually won the second.

We didn't have any offense in the first game. Difference in the second was not only did we not have offense, our offense helped Bama's with field position. Bama's stout D had a lot to do with that too but JJ's brain cramps, like pitching the ball to our back's back and crap like that.

I didn't think Bama's defense was that great. I don't think they were in the same class as ours, but I think their quarterback was 1000 times better than ours. Their D basically did what Georgia did to us in the SECCG. Our offense was just that pathetic. I mean think about it, if not for some great individual effort from Tyrann, and the D playing lights out in the SECCG we could have easily lost that game. Now they will beat their chests about how awesome their D was, and I guarantee you, that if LSU's defense from last year had to play against LSU's offense from last year, our defense and special teams would have put at least 2 in the end zone. We held a pretty darned good offense to field goals. They held a completely inept and pathetic offense to what they should have held it to.

Got to get over here a little more often, before you talk yourself out of last year even happening. LSU had a dominate defense, no doubt about it. What stood out most about that team's defense, to me, was the play makers that either scored or turned the ball over to the O with a short field, time and time again.

Bama's defense was just a wall and you weren't getting in. The best description I heard, was it's comparison to a "Boa Constrictor." It just kept squeezing you down until there was no more fight.

The stats, through the entire season paints an accurate picture of that. And I hate bogging down in numbers. But the most telling to me, between the two defenses, was this one: Last season Alabama led the nation in rushing defense, scoring defense, passing defense and total defense. The 77.9 yards per game gap between number 1 Alabama and number 2 LSU, in total defense, is the largest difference ever recorded.

People always ask me why I have a picture of Cam Newton on here. I tell them because I watched every minute of the 2010 Iron Bowl and watched Cam Newton single handedly beat Alabama with every second on the clock in the second half. Watching Cam Newton construct that offense on alabama was just amazing and I cheer for Auburn every year when they play Alabama in the Iron Bowl. That is just how much I hate Alabama. Its pretty crappy when your fan base has to poison a tree on someone elses campus because he is soo but hurt about getting his ass handed to him by a much better football team.
