They talk about great rivalries...Bama's the best rivalry we ever had. It's become greater than Ole Miss in the old days.
Let Saban talk. After all they did kick our a$$. And it wasn't close. Now we need to use that game as motivation for next season. Like I said, LET SABAN TALK!
Nice post Kal especially this point. Let's use little Nicky's bravado BS as incentive to make them wish they hadn't visited Tiger Stadium Nov 3.
I've taken some advice into consideration from guys who have been here longer than me. And will continue to try my best to be a better forum member. Because I like this place, and it is nice to know you can contribute to something.
Ole Miss is getting too little credit here. After all... Billy Cannon returns a punt for a 7-3 LSU win. But, in New Orleans, the two teams meet again and Ole Miss wins... 21-0.
Plus if you look at Jarrett Lee's success against Alabama it doesn't look good. His completion percentage against Alabama was terrible and had we left him in the first game the outcome would have been different. We won that game because of great field position and stellar defensive play. In the NCCG we had neither. We gave up a few big plays down field but our defense still played as well as they did the first game. Our offense controlled the tempo all last year with a steallar running game and Alabama took that away. They say you don't have't to be able to run the football well to have an effective play action attack but I dis agree because Alabama had the athletes to run man across the board and still stop our passing attack. Our offensive line was out maned and out played and Jordan Jefferson had very little time to do anything. Jordan Jefferson relied on his feet all year long to make plays down field and could not do that against Alabama. Alabama had a better game plan going into that game than we did. We did nothing to change ours they also made adjustments and had a whole month to prepare for an offensive scheme that had already been broken. It was a great year and going 13-1 with one of the toughest schedules in the history of college football with no offense was quite an accomplishment. My hat goes off to Les Miles for what he did last year.
