If you have a chance and are a member of Rivals, go read Mike Scarborough's article on Saban and Lance Thompson's visit to talk Phelon Jones into decommitting and going to Alabama. It's a great read and makes you really glad we are getting this kid.
I read somewhere that Jones told him he wasn't "Saban something" -can't remember the exact word- but meaning the name Saban didn't mean sh_t to him. :grin:
I bet thats a BIG selling point used by Miles and the recruiting staff, when recruits are being poked by Saban and his crew. That you cant take a man serious, when you never know if he'll even be around in 2 years as your coach.
A lot of people agree with your line of thought but Miles has so much class, I'd bet he recruits on what he has to offer and lays off the smear campaigning. Regardless though, whatever the chit he's doing, he must have a freakin magic wand cause the guy's impressive and LSU was already stacked and it's about to get uglier! :thumb:
This will be classic Saban failing in the recruiting process. I knew this was coming. No one believes this guys bullshyt anymore.
I agree! No need to stoop down to his level. These recruits are kids, yes, but they know enough to see right through Saban's arrogance and empty promises.
IF this is really what happened, WOW. Les is really on the ball. That has got to make Phelon feel good about his decision.
