LSU was noted to have 77% second behind Vandy at 85%. Florida was right there at 76%

Bama and the rest of the SEC are below 70%.

Saban was lauded for raising the graduation rate at LSU nearly 10 years ago when we were 2nd behind Vandy ... Seems there was an incentive $$$ to do this in his contract.

What was the Saban graduation rate when he left LSU in early 2005?

Also, this is a great recruiting tool that can be used, but I believe that Les cares more about his players graduating and throws fewer under the bus than Saban does ... and I believe that Saban would take marginal players at bama that LSU would back away from ... Eddie Lacey comes to mind!

Clearly, Miles is the better coach in this respect!

    Bueller?

Your timing is off as are your figures...might want to take a day off. :yelwink2:

The latest GSR report was released three days ago and it broke down like this across the SEC...

The baseball team was third in the SEC with a score of 77

while the football team was fourth with a 69.

69 ain't too bad ... not as good as Miles 77% ... but it's not like Nicky is a total failure at his job ... he just throws a few more kids under the bus

LSU's graduation rates started improving after the Academic Center for Student Athletes was built and staffed. Nick was the coach that insisted that it be created, but he bailed out and Les and all the other LSU coaches have been the beneficiary.

I don't doubt this at all, but then it opens the question as to whether or not Nick similarly insisted on the creation of some form of Athlete Academic Center or somesuch at Alabama.

So graduation is worth paying a coach for at LSU and not at Alabama? How peculiar.
