In this article, Saban does something we haven't seen him do all that much since he was in Purple and Gold: TELL THE TRUTH!! http://blog.al.com/rapsheet/2008/11/saban_miles_has_won_more_games.html
That should end the big pissing contest between bama and LSU fans. Straight from the horses mouth. Saban himself basically admits Miles has been a better coach at LSU than he ever would have been. So can we move on? We both have excellent coaches and both programs are in very good hands with the two men at each wheel. :thumb:
Dale Brown always thought the only way to settle his feud with Bobby Knight was to wrestle naked. Les was a lineman. $5 on Les.
LOL, I agree...just thought the boys on the board here would get a kick out of it. Of course, there's no way that anybody, Saban or otherwise, would know just how good or bad he would have done in the last three years. I personally think we wouldn't have been as good offensively and maybe been a little more conservative than we have been (which almost certainly have cost us some particular must-win situations), but our defense would have been and still would be the undisputed best in the country instead of the sham it has become. Either way I am and would have been a smiling Tiger fan!
You know Saban would have a shank tucked away somewhere and slipped several blows into Les's neck. Remember you're dealing with Satan. He don't play fair. :yelwink2:
But saban kinda reminds me of that kid in the corner that keeps to himself. I learned to leave that kid alone.
I always wonder if a coach watches a game and tries to guess what the next play is. And Miles makes some of those ballsy calls if he just shakes his head in disbelief...like we do.
