Saban strikes back at Kiffen and Lance Thompson for the remarks made yesterday. http://alabama.rivals.com/default.asp It didn't take long for the University of Alabama recruiting machine to strike early for 2010 as one of the top junior wide receivers in the southeast has committed to the Crimson Tide. Mitchell (Memphis) receiver Keiwone Malone gave his verbal pledge to Tide Coach Nick Saban on Wednesday evening. "He committed last night to Coach Saban and I know he was happy to do it early," said Mitchell Coach Nathan Cole. "He is an exciting playmaker for us. He is the kid that can go up and get the ball and turn a five-yard pass pattern into a 70-yard touchdown. He can truly do it all. "He is a great kid as well. Keiwone is one of our team leaders and someone that has respect from all of his classmates and teammates." Malone holds offers from Tennessee, Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Auburn, Arkansas and Duke. "Alabama really got a great kid and great football player with Keiwone. He is an exceptional athlete and a real difference maker for us." As a sophomore, Malone had 70 catches for 1,249 yards and 12 scores. This fall he had 13 receptions for 358 receiving yards with three touchdowns in one semifinal playoff game. another link http://alabama.rivals.com/default.asp
Good for Saban. I was pretty neutral on Tennessee under Fullmer, but I have to admit I can't stand Kiffin and Orgeron. This Janzen Jackson thing was obviously orchestrated by those two and Jackson's dad. I really don't care that JJ wanted to go to Tenn, but to Try to screw over LSU while doing it is Very revealing about the complete lack of class in that program. I saw where Dandy Don is reporting that Jackson's dad is expected to be hired as a coach by Tennessee. That explains a lot about Guidry's lies about his son's "solid" commitment to LSU on NSD. I hope Dominique Allen destroys Jackson on a blitz the next time we play Tenn. Move over CUM there's some new scumbags in the east now. Tennessee sure has fallen from the days of Johnny Majors! Do you think Archie Manning would let his son play for Kiffen and Orgeron today?
God that staff is pathetic. It took the man all of a few hours to steal one. How sad. Urban might grab one for fun this weekend, too.
How far does all this underhanded, childish crap go on before the SEC or Miles, Saban and Meyer put a stop to it. KIFFY-KINS has turned the SEC into the WWF in a matter of a few weeks.
Probably until the first few weeks of thes season when he realizes his mouth cant win football games.
