here we go. over 92,000 people will be at that game. Their will be azzes, there always will be. Bama fans and bama boards will point to the very small percentage that act out as an example of how horrible Tiger fans treated the upright, classy, bama fans, and how we're the worst fanbase in the world blah, blah, blah. Not one of the majority who get treated well and just have a great time with good natured banter will speak up. Why does Nick feel the need to point out over and over how upset the Tiger fanbase is with him? I hear all the talk from our bama friends about how Auburn and Tenn. are the big ones, but why do I get the feeling that aint what their coach thinks??
The best way to handle Nick and Alabama is to beat them on the football field. All the boo's in the world mean nothing if we lose. I'd much rather have our team harass them than our fans. The way I see it, Saban helped LSU and LSU helped him. Time to move on. We have Les now, and he has a damn strong football team.
No one else and just Bama fans, huh. Everyone has their true and fictional stories no matter which stadium you go to but to think that Bama fans are considered to get the worse of everything at LSU is a reach. Do most Bama fans feel that way?:insane:
The fact that a little "joke" Saban made and probably forgot about 3 seconds later could be broken down and discussed this deep is quite astonishing. I feel sort of obliged to save this thread.
Sorry my smartass meter was turned way down. In the future, I will turn it up to eleven when reading your posts. Put up or shut up. Um....yeah, I'm sure several thousand people over a ten hour period doesn't. What was I thinking? I would love to meet the guy that could make me lick anything. Perhaps you should examine my profile picture more closely. Those ain't implants... Glad to hear it. First time you have alluded to that in your perpetual "things will probably go bad" posts in this thread. Fans that come expecting trouble - usually find it. Not unlike guys looking for a fight in a bar. Look for a party, and you are more apt to find that in Red Stick. Come by my tailgate and you might enjoy yourself. We are a likable bunch. Blame your buzzard. He seems to think we need swat teams deployed for his safety. I approve your attempt at a save but I like mine better...
I've seen both sides. I've had a great time at LSU all but one time and that was back in '96. But, the same can be said for every SEC location. Last year, I saw some things from our student body when you guys visited that just pissed me off. And, I saw a few LSU students (I assume they were students based on their age) trying to take a leak on some of the slabs signifying SEC Championships in front of Bryant-Denny. They were fortunate that the cops saw what was going on and "encouraged" them to move along instead of spending a night in jail. I'm shocked I'm agreeing with Dude here. Those that attend games looking for trouble find it...those that attend games looking to have a good time, do so. FWIW, the only time I've been pissed off was when a drunk guy started yelling at my mother after a game. That happened at USCe. Still, I found myself laughing at him considering one of the eye pieces of his sunglasses had popped out and he seemed to not realize. More and more I see a generational gap with fans these days in how visitors/rivals are treated. It is disappointing.
I agree, it does appear to be the younger crowd that crosses the line. But folks need to not let a minority color their perception of an entire fanbase. In Alabama, some young punks broke into my parents motor home and used the bathroom. When my father walked up, they told him to "lighten up, old man." That doesn't make me think all bama fans are drunk, arrogant rednecks. But, I could be wrong
