I'll correct my previous statement. The fans are not reponsible for the loss. Only the coaches and players can lose the game. All I meant to say is that the fans shouldn't have just gave up.
No doubt the fans shouldn't have given up. It's sad when they do, especially when they give up on a bcs game. LSU fans gave up annually in the late 90's but I can't imagine we would ever give up on a bcs game. I agree with you, however, that this did not affect the outcome of the game. There's hope for you yet.
I would throw out some calumniatory comments about the bamma fandom, but the way some of the Auburn folk treated our team last year it would not be appropriate.
Wow, the Bama players were not capable of being inspired in what essentially was a neutral site crowd. You can't tell me Utah's fans dominated the scene. So it turned out to be a draw, big deal. Saban can't inspire his players any better than that? I thought that was his strength? Wtf?
Saban is always going to be unhappy with crowd noise at Bama if he's comparing them to Death Valley. He's never going to get that kind of support again.
Re: Saban is a d-bag. who knew? Amazing how the silver tongued devil has made everyone forget his comments about Utah not being a "real BCS" team, sentiments that I am sure helped in Bamas failure to live up to expectations.
