My bad. But my point is that you can never count anybody out. I remember Hester wasn't as highly rated. But he has turned out to be a solid consistent all performer.
And yet another great pickup... http://alabama.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=48726 This is a WR Bama has offerred, and should commit in the next couple of days. CNS is really rollin' now. On a Bama forum, while talking about this guy, they questioned whether this would turn Ahmad Paige off, and somebody asked if he was still interested in Bama. It was alluded to that Bama was no longer interested in Paige!!! I guess this slow WR that weighs 164 lbs and was injured most of his high school career is a much better get.
Ive seen this guy play, and he is really good. He was injured bad his senior year, so many teams stopped following him. I know Georgia wanted him bad.
Well, that didn't take long. The kid officially committed while I was writing the above post. Seems strange with all the schools chasing him that he would make such a hasty decision!
He weighs 164 pounds! It would be one thing if he were as short and fast as Trindon Holliday, but that is far from the case.
Oh, no doubt he is small. He is really good in the open field. For the record, no stars means they havnt been evaluated yet. He will prob. be a three star.
I'm telling you this, the thing I found funny and led me to post is that the posters on the Bama site are claiming that Bama has no interest in Ahmad Paige, implying that this guy is the reason for that. Come on! They think Luther Davis is gonna get all these LA 5*'s and 4*s to run on over to Bama with him and his Momma. It's funny to me, and I thought I'd share. I'm sure the kid can play a little football, but he ain't Ahmad Paige. (Or Terrrance Tolliver, or D Byrd, or any of the other current Tigers and current Tiger recruits) They follow their posts up with things like "The Saban train is rolling now", and "Saban can't be stopped". Bottom line, Saban is getting desperate. This makes me feel good about any of our recruits that he wants, because if he's picking up no * commits, for whatever reason, he's getting desperate.
