It would be a shame if Nick let bama for a non-SEC school. I would really miss kicking his ass on a regular basis.

Definitely a shocker, especially when you consider the circumstance. Saban is a coward but you can't blame him for a faulty system. Polls are opinions and no one can tell Saban that he's wrong, even though we know he doesn't believe OSU is #4.

I'm a fan of the coaches poll but I'm not a fan of it being part of the BCS.

Can you imagine if the polls were so close that one place would make the diffrence and saban didn't do what he did? He was watching out for his own intrest. I'm suprised he didn't have them lower.

He thought he could get away with putting them at #4. The logic goes like this:

How can you penalize Stanford at 11-1 just because they didn't play.

This is the same logic he has to use to rationalize Alabama at #2.

If he drops OSU to #5 or #6, he gets called out and it becomes a distraction. No one is really going to pay attention to him putting them at #4.

The part that is crazy is that he did that with full knowledge the people would call him a douche and the chances of it affecting the outcome were about 100 to 1. And then if it had affected the outcome, he would have looked like more of a douche. With any common sense, he would have realized it wasn't worth it and perception is important in his business. What a dope.
