I'm afraid sometimes it's apt. After all, Saban has been called a "dumbass" in this context in this very thread. In some ways (not this one) that is apt as well and if so by all means utter the word on a message board and allow others to do the same (that post has not been deleted has it?). Or be afraid of it.

Simply count me among those with utter disdain for the culture of ultra-sensitive and petulant offense takers that wouldn't know how to behave if someone somewhere were not insulting their sacred cows. You have to WANT Saban to say something offensive to find something offensive about that statement.

    agree

    agree

agree here as well. question: if CLM had used these comments after the kentucky game would LSU fans be upset? would bama fans be indignant? i think sometines we make much to do about nothing as far as saban is concerned....to the point it is detrimental to the perception of others regarding LSU fans.

Maybe Saban can use this to parallel a cause and effect relationship of losing his 5 players for stealing books.

I wouldn't be upset, like I'm not upset about Saban's comments.

I would find the comment inappropriate, and even moreso question his judgement in the matter, just like I do with Saban.

I don't necessarily think it deserves a thread, but I'm just trying to distract myself from all of the talk about new coaches and whatnot.

I agree. I don't care that he made the comment, but there has to be a better way to motivate a team.

Remember a while back when Kellen Winslow Jr. made those comments about being a soldier and going to war on the field. I guess it was just more relevant back then, but people didn't take it too lightly. Was just bad judgment on his part. Same thing here.

Yep! It's called the "March for Miles", starts tomorrow at 6:00 at the stadium and ends at Walk Ons at 7:00, where CLM does his radio show. There's some artwork someone did and a facebook group. And numerous calls to have the topic stickied. For reals.
