I agree with you Red and I'm not a JL basher. If JJ were to go down, I would want JL to go in, stand in the pocket without flinching and rip Bama up for 300 yards in passing. I would not only be happy about the win, I'd be equally as happy that JL had redemption.

The scenario I described is not that much of a stretch of the imagination if you look at JL after he takes a big hit. If that happens, and he throws a pick or two, then all we can and will do with JL is run the ball and Bama will know it.

If Mett goes in, I know we risk him making a newbie mistake. However, the dude has had two years of being coached and practicing in the major leagues and took his Juco team to the national championship. I'll add this caveat -- if all this occurred and we had a comfortable lead, JL stays in. But, if all this occurred and we were behind, I'd risk putting Mett in.

I understand what you're saying. I do get why jj is starting. It's just people like cliff were waving pom poms in the begining of the season , starting thread after thread, screaming how great lee was. They were saying that lee has progressed and now lsu has a passing game. Thread after thread, sometimes several a day, to the point of some on here asking them to back off stating how great lee was and how wonderful lsu's offense was to the point of nausum. Now lee throws two interceptions and he's chit. Jj scored a couple fieldgoald. He didn't, lsu's running game and great defense won the game. Now we see the first time in the history of the sec a team not get a first down in the first half of a game. We have a qb throw for phucking 30 yards. You can't be serious in saying jj won that game. Again I say thirty yards passing. You have dumbasses on here saying jj is going to be a starter in the NFL and light it up. Fang said he was a first or second round draft pick. Cliff, who started numerous threads blowing purple and gold smoke up lee's arse talked about how great he was and now calls him humpty dumpty. What in the hell makes jj so great? Thirty yards passing? I agree that jj probably gives us the best chance to win aginst bama but to talk like he is such a great qb is stupid. Jl put up better numbers and looked way better than jj except aginst bama. These same people say horrible chit about jl but they better not hear you say anything bad about their super qb that took a chitload of sacks and threw for thirty yards in a game. They are two faced. They waved their pom poms in the first seven games talking so great about jl and now they treat him like trash. Humpty dumpty from the same person that started a lee's gonna have a great year thread among about two dozen more just like it. Geez.

Sorry cliff. Maybe I was out of line. The humpty dumpty thing got under my skin a little. I know jj is the man now but jl isn't someone that we should throw out. He has played very well minus one game. I think he would be the one that miles would choose if jj has to come out the game. If jj wouldn't have ever came back we still would be right where we are today. Miles wouldve found a way to win with lee. If jj can't finish the championship game lee will come in and win. Miles will find a way to win with either qb.

its cool - I don't want JL to be a humpty dumpty but if Mett goes in before JL or JL goes in and plays deer in the head light ball it fits !

If JL goes in a wins the game - nuff said and that of course is what I want

    - I want JJ to be the JJ of the Cotton Bowl and we bury Bama

    - If needed I want JL to come in and bury Bama

    - If needed I want Mett to come in and bury Bama

bottom line - I want someone to bury Bama !!

I have sooo many Bama friends this thing is going to be ugly after a massive LSU win on that Monday night.

Knowing Bama fans like I do I am not sure how they will take the beat down. They are sure they had the best team SURE yes they are very positive we won because they gave us the game. They can't see the fact that LSU bounced them out of the Red Zone every time !

They can't see we wore them down and they didn't have nothing for LSU in OT - nothing !

I am sure many a fight will break out in New Orleans as the gumps roll back to Bama wondering about the stupid statue they built for the short guy ! The guy that just lost 3 games in a row to Les Miles.

I watched ESPNU last night break down the 4 BCS bowls plus Bama vs LSU. Man the talking heads bug this LSU homer fan. I didn't know either of the experts but they made no logical sense in breaking down the LSU / Bama game.

    QBs

    D

    Coaching

    RB's

    X factor

they split on QBs - I understand that one

D - they split on D but I really can't understand giving Bama the edge based on Bama stats and the teams they played vs us playing the Ducks on the road and WV on the road. Bama has a great rushing D and they are over-all awesome but I don't give them the edge over LSU and our complete D.

coaching - they both went with CLM ! I agree

RB's - they both went with #3 but I think we are right with #3 with our group of backs but I can deal with it.

X-factor - I thought with TM7 who is THE X-FACTOR we had it in the bag.

They never said a word about TM7 !!! not a word

They both went with Bama - ST's / QB play right

They both picked Bama to win - right

    bring on Bama

Frustrating isn't it? Well the talking heads were surprised Nov 5, let them be surprised again.
There is one commentator that had an interesting take. I heard Eddie George on College Football yesterday morning. He predicts LSU by 2 TDs. His reason is that the Tigers are playing only against themselves and they have a mindset that they will win no matter what. He said it wasn't bravado but a refusal to lose. He said he saw it in the teams eyes against Ark & Ga and has only seen it a few times either in college or pro ball.
This will o win is what take LSU over the top.
