I do not have a profile in Vol Nation , but if the Vols would offer Saban a million more than what Bama pays him . Do you think Saban would be the coach for Bama or the Vols next season ?? He has turned two programs around all by himself > The Vols need to think about this .

I think people need to get over the idea that Saban is going to leave Bama any time soon. If he does, it will be to try the NFL again. He'd be foolish to leave Bama right now. He's got a good thing going (unfortunately.)

Saban will want his name out there even if he wants to stay at Alabama as it will increase his bargaining position with Alabama. It's always a good time for a raise.

Just remember the connection between Kiffin, Hamilton (the Tennessee AD) and Saban is Jimmy Sexton.
We learned the lesson the hard way - Bama should remember, never say never when Sexton has a chance to make a buck, just because he is capable of it.

Saban isn't stupid, an azzhole maybe but not stupid. Sexton can't force him to go to Tennessee. It would take an incredible amount of money to bring Saban to Knoxville. Just think for a second. Tennessee offers Saban a million more a year than Bama is paying him. Do you think Bama wouldn't match it? So how much more would Tennessee have to offer? 2-3 million more a year? Tennessee's final offer would have to be significantly higher than what Bama would be willing to match. It just isn't going to happen. He has a really really good thing going in gumpland. Saban knows he made a mistake leaving LSU. By sheer luck the Bama job came open before his coaching career was destroyed at Miami. I don't see any way he makes the same mistake twice or how his wife would let him. She was very unhappy in Miami by all reports.

Oh, I don't think Saban is stupid or going to UT. And Sexton certainly doesn't call the shots - hell, Saban was the one who called Sexton within a few weeks or months of the move to Miami and said he had made a mistake and wanted out of the NFL.
Maybe he learned his lesson, maybe not.

I just think Bama fans should be careful about having any idea that Saban is or will be loyal and will hang around. He may stay and ultimately retire there, but, he may not. His history is that he will move on and sooner than later. Like I said - we learned the hard way - the UT fans should have paid attention - and Bama fans and fans of every other college team need to pay attention because it could, and probably will, happen to them.

For now, I am happy with CLM, hope he can fix things and hope he stays around a while. I am also happy that scumbag Coach Oh No has taken his "wild boys" act back to the left coast and I hope he stays there.
